Sobeys Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Empire with more than 115 years of experience in food retailing. Sobeys, its franchisees and affiliates operate approximately 1,600 stores across all 10 provinces under retail banners including Sobeys, Safeway, IGA, Foodland, FreshCo, Thrifty Foods and Lawtons Drugs, employing approximately 128,000 people.
